Travis Scott Celebrates 10th Anniversary of “Days Before Rodeo” Mixtape with Intimate Atlanta Show

Last week marked a decade since Travis Scott’s iconic mixtape “Days Before Rodeo” dropped, and to celebrate this milestone, the Houston rapper returned to Atlanta for a special one-night-only show at the Masquerade venue.

Partnering with Spotify, the event drew approximately 1500 fans, an intimate crowd for a Travis Scott show, to the city’s Masquerade venue. The show was a nostalgic trip down memory lane, with standout features on the mixtape including key players in Atlanta’s rap scene then and now, such as Migos, Young Thug, Peewee Longway, Rich Homie Quan, and T.I.

Travis Scott took the stage reflecting on his time in Atlanta, making music, and being inspired creatively. He announced the occasion on Tumblr, and tickets were blasted through Spotify’s Fan First Presale, which sold out immediately. Guests arrived in groups ready to mosh, but fans who wanted to savor the mixtape without bumping bodies were allowed upstairs access to peer down at the stage.

The show included a special performance of “Sloppy Toppy” from the mixtape, featuring Quavo. Other highlights included Travis Scott stepping out of his shoes and gifting them to a fan in the audience, continuing the show in only socks, and performing fan-favorite tracks “Mamacita” and “Drugs You Should Try It”. The concert also featured new tracks like “Topia Twins”, “Yeah Yeah”, and “Too Many Chances”.

The event was a celebration of Travis Scott’s journey and the impact of “Days Before Rodeo” on the hip-hop scene. The mixtape was a game-changer for Scott, establishing him as a rising star and setting the stage for his future success.

The “Days Before Rodeo” anniversary show was a testament to the mixtape’s enduring influence and the strong connection between Travis Scott and Atlanta’s rap scene. Until the rumored “Days Before Rodeo” tour dates are announced, fans can relive the magic of the show through the Spotify embed below.
