Chris Rock’s Beloved Comedy “Everybody Still Hates Chris” Returns as an Adult Animation Series
Comedy Central is set to premiere the highly anticipated adult animation series “Everybody Still Hates Chris” on September 25, 2024, at 10 pm ET/PT. The new interpretation of Chris Rock’s autobiographical sitcom, which originally aired from 2005 to 2009, promises to deliver a fresh and hilarious take on Rock’s chaotic childhood.
The animated series will feature a star-studded cast, including Tichina Arnold and Terry Crews, who reprised their roles as Rock’s parents in the original series. Tim Johnson Jr., Ozioma Akagha, Terrence Little Gardenhigh, and Gunnar Sizemore will also lend their voices to the show as voice actors.
Chris Rock will narrate the series, sharing his comedic genius and chaotic upbringing. The comedian expressed his excitement in a statement, saying, “I’m very excited to introduce the world to another funny side of my childhood.”
Plans for the cartoon were first announced in August 2022 and have since been greenlit by MTV Entertainment Studios to run on Paramount+ and Comedy Central. The series is produced by CBS’ Eye Animation Productions, CBS Studios’ animation arm, and Titmouse, with Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina serving as executive producers.
