Nigerian Celebrities Called Out for Lack of Financial Support to Ailing Music Video Director

In a scathing video message, Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has criticized his fellow celebrities for failing to make financial contributions towards the medical bills of ailing music video director, TG Omori.

According to reports, TG Omori recently underwent an unsuccessful kidney transplant surgery in Lagos, with his body rejecting the kidney donated by one of his brothers. Despite some celebrities like Davido and Kizz Daniel showing solidarity on social media, none have publicly made any donations towards his medical expenses.

Portable, who spoke in a video message shared on his social media page, accused Nigerian celebrities of being hypocritical, stating that the entertainment industry is "full of fake love." He pointed out that some celebrities, such as embattled Napoli striker Victor Osimhen and music executive Don Jazzy, had donated to controversial cross-dresser Bobrisky during his prison ordeal, but have yet to extend the same gesture to TG Omori, who is chronically ill.

"TG Omori has a kidney problem and celebrities are not donating money or kidney for him but Victor Osimhen and others donated money for Bobrisky who has no value. The industry is full of fake love," Portable lamented.

The singer’s criticism has sparked widespread debate on social media, with many fans calling out their favorite celebrities for not doing enough to support TG Omori. The incident has also raised questions about the level of solidarity and charity within the Nigerian entertainment industry.
