Hope Still Alive for Nigeria’s Future, Says Senate President Godswill Akpabio

Nigeria, on the road to prosperity, according to Senate President Godswill Akpabio. Despite the challenges the country faces, Akpabio urges Nigerians to hold onto hope and believe that change is not only possible but inevitable. This message came during a national Inter-denominational Church Service to mark Nigeria’s 64th Independence in Abuja.

Akpabio acknowledged the obstacles ahead, stating that “the road ahead may be bumpy, and yes, there will be setbacks.” However, he expressed confidence that together, united in their faith and love for Nigeria, the country will overcome its challenges and thrive. The Senate President emphasized the importance of perseverance, highlighting Nigeria’s indomitable spirit and capacity to overcome adversity.

“Nigeria’s brightest days are ahead of us,” Akpabio declared, urging patience and optimism. He also drew attention to the country’s ongoing Renewed Hope Project, aimed at revitalizing the economy, empowering the people, and lifting the most vulnerable. This ambitious project is crucial to the nation’s prosperity, Akpabio stressed.

George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, echoed Akpabio’s sentiments, saying, “There is hope. I have a dream too, that this country under Asiwaju will be the most blessed, most successful and prosperous in Africa and the world.”

Michael Akinwale, the Archbishop of Abuja, Methodist Church of Nigeria, urged Nigerians to be patient, acknowledging that the country will once again become great. As Nigeria embarks on its journey to prosperity, Akpabio’s words serve as a beacon of hope, urging citizens to stay united and focused on a brighter future.

Despite the challenges faced by the nation, Senate President Akpabio’s words of encouragement highlight the potential for growth and development in Nigeria.
