Wizkid Takes Aim at Davido’s Family, Reignites Beef

Nigerian Afrobeats Superstar Wizkid’s Beef with Davido Takes a Personal Turn

In a surprise move, Afrobeats singer Wizkid has escalated his feud with his colleague Davido by dragging Davido’s family into the fray. The beef between the two Nigerian superstars took a personal turn on Wednesday afternoon when Wizkid seemingly shaded Davido’s uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, in a tweet.

This latest development marks a new chapter in the ongoing dispute between Wizkid and Davido, which began on Monday night when Wizkid publicly called Davido “wack” and “talentless” on his Twitter handle. Despite Davido failing to respond to Wizkid’s barbs, the “Ojuelegba” crooner refused to back down and has now extended his verbal jabs to Davido’s family.

Wizkid’s latest tweet seems to allude to Davido’s uncle, Governor Adeleke, who is famously known as the “Dancing Governor” due to his numerous dance videos online. Wizkid tweeted: “When u see people wey dem papa and family train, u go know! U don’t see my uncle dancing online!” The tweet suggests that Wizkid is mocking Davido’s family and implying that they do not have a reputation for being talented like Wizkid’s family.

It remains to be seen whether Davido will respond to Wizkid’s latest jab or choose to let the matter simmer down. Meanwhile, fans and industry insiders are left to wonder if this public spat between two of Africa’s most successful musicians will continue to escalate or eventually come to a head.
