The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has dispelled concerns about the stability of the country’s banking system, emphasizing its commitment to ensuring the safety of deposits in financial institutions nationwide. The announcement comes amidst a recent flurry of bank license withdrawals and warnings by customers to immediately withdraw their deposits.

In a statement, the CBN’s Ag. Director of Corporate Communications, Hakama Ali, reassured the public of the bank’s unwavering commitment to maintaining a stable and reliable financial system. The development follows reports of certain banks having their licenses withdrawn and customers advised to withdraw their deposits.
