Cole Palmer Wins EPL Player of the Month for September

Cole Palmer Voted EA SPORTS Player of the Month for September 2024

In a remarkable turn of events, Cole Palmer has been voted the EA SPORTS Player of the Month for September 2024. The 22-year-old has been making waves in the Premier League, and this latest award is a testament to his exceptional skills on the pitch. This is Palmer’s second Player of the Month award, with his first coming in April 2024.

As the official EPL website confirmed, Palmer led the Premier League in both goals and goal involvement during September, scoring five times and providing one assist in just four appearances. His most remarkable feat came during Chelsea’s 6-1 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion, where he set a new Premier League record by becoming the first player to score four goals in the first half of a match.

His incredible four-goal haul occurred within 21 minutes, showcasing his exceptional finishing ability and composure under pressure. This devastating performance secured his place in the league’s history books. In addition to his goal-scoring heroics against Brighton, Palmer also provided an assist in Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace and found the back of the net once again during Chelsea’s 3-0 win over West Ham United. These contributions further solidified his case for the award.

This consistency is evident, as Palmer has now won two of the last three available awards. He topped an eight-man shortlist after a public vote on the EA SPORTS website was combined with the votes of a panel of football experts. Palmer has already started October strongly, providing an assist in a 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest. He currently leads the Premier League with 11 goal involvements this season and will be looking to add to his tally when Chelsea return to action against Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, 20 October.

The Premier League’s ongoing recognitions for top performers will continue, with the Barclays Manager of the Month for September set to be revealed soon. This latest achievement is yet another testament to Palmer’s exceptional talent and dedication to his craft.
