Lobi Stars Football Club has appointed Finnish coach Mika Lönnström as its new head coach, signaling a fresh direction for the team in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) this season. “I’m honoured to be part of Lobi Stars’ rich history and committed to driving the team to success,” Lönnström stated, sharing his vision for a competitive season ahead. His appointment brings international experience to the Makurdi-based club and has generated excitement among fans and players alike.

Lönnström, 60, will work closely with Lobi Stars’ technical adviser, Nigerian football legend Daniel Amokachi. Together, they are expected to strengthen the team’s performance as they prepare for their upcoming clash against Abia Warriors on Saturday.
