Wizkid’s new single ‘Dance’ disappears from Apple Music Top 100

Wizkid’s record breaking single ‘Kese (Dance) has disappeared from Apple Music’s Top 100 chart.

Dance, which was released on 15th November 2024, enjoyed immediate success on streaming platforms, reaching NO. 1 on the Apple Music Nigeria Top 100 hours after its release.

Media Talk Africa reports that ‘Dance’ garnered 2.753 million streams, the biggest opening for an African song on global Spotify.

The sudden disappearance has sparked a massive controversy over why it was removed, with many suggesting that the strict policies of Apple Music against streaming manipulation may have triggered the takedown.

The development could mean that the song’s streams will be deducted before its return to the chart.
