CAFWCL: Edo Queens tackle TP Mazembe, target historic final spot

Edo Queens will battle TP Mazembe of Democratic Republic of Congo for a place in the final of the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League on Tuesday (today).

The encounter is slated for the Stade Larbi Zaouli, Casablanca. Kick-off is 3pm Nigeria time.

Edo Queens will be looking to become the first Nigerian club to make it to the final of the competition.

Media Talk Africa recalls Bayelsa Queens were eliminated at the semi-final stage two years ago, while Rivers Angels faltered in the group stage at the first edition of the competition.

Edo Queens, who are making their maiden appearance in Africa’s biggest club competition top Group B with seven points from three games.

Moses Aduku’s side eliminated holders Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa 2-1 in a dramatic fashion in their last group game.

TP Mazembe finished second in Group A behind hosts AS FAR of Morocco.
