Supporters of Imo East senator, Ezenwa Onyewuchi, under the aegis of ‘People’s Movement’, in Ezinihitte Mbaise LGA, have formally joined the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Nze Chimenka Ndulaka, Coordinator People’s Movement in Ezinihitte LGA, led hundreds of other leaders and members of the movement in the formal defection on Sunday.
Ndulaka, alongside a campaign council chieftain, Chima Ibeh and other members of the movement who left the Labour Party, were decorated with APC emblems and issued membership cards by Ezinihitte APC Deputy Leader, Dr Charles Amuzie.
Also present during the defection are the member representing Ezinihitte State Constituency in the lmo State House of Assembly, Henry Agbasonu, the councillor representing Okpofe/Ezeagbogu Ward 03, Chinedu Ekwueme, and other APC leaders in Ezinihitte, who graced the occasion.
The leaders in their separate speeches described Ndulaka as a big politician in Mbaise and beyond.
Earlier, Ndulaka had disclosed that the ceremony was to signal the official joining of the party by the Onyewuchi’s supporters.
He highlighted the lawmakers many achievements, especially in skills trainings and empowerments and assured Ezinihitte APC and the people of the area of the preparedness of his principal to do more.
