Manchester City legend, Sergio Aguero, has said Manchester United star, Alejandro Garnacho, has proven his worth already.
He backed his countryman to have a successful career, defending his fellow compatriot amid criticism over his recent performances.
Garnacho has scored just seven goals and made four assists in 19 appearances across all competitions for the Red Devils this season.
The 20-year-old, however, has not performed to the expectations of many supporters and pundits, as he is being slammed especially after their 1-1 draw against Ipswich Town on Sunday.
Aguero told Stake.com (via Manchester Evening News), “Sometimes, people forget how young Alejandro is. His raw talent got him to the Premier League at a young age, and he’s proven his worth already.
“I’ve seen many of his teammates leaning in to help him develop as a pro player, and that’s massive. If he has that type of mentorship, I’m sure there’s a bright future ahead of him.”
