Kennedy-Ohanenye returns to court after removal as minister (VIDEO)

The immediate past Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, has returned to court after her removal from President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet.

The ex-minister was seen in court, in a video shared on the social media.

Kennedy-Ohanenye disclosed that she was in court to “support a four-year-old child who was allegedly defiled and sodomised by a teacher”.

The ex-minister is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, and also serves as the CEO of Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye & Co, where she provides legal services to individuals and corporations.

She earned her Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1996 and was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 1997.

In August 2023, she was appointed as the Minister of Women Affairs by President Bola Tinubu, succeeding Pauline Tallen.

Kennedy-Ohanenye was however removed from Tinubu’s cabinet in October 2024, alongside four other former ministers.

The ex-minister was seen in a video shared via the X handle of The Cable, dressed in a court attire.
