Transfer: Genk chief rules out Arokodare’s January departure

Genk sporting director, Dimitri De Conde has ruled out the possibility of the club allowing Tolu Arokodare to leave in January.

Arokodare was close to leaving the Smurfs for the Turkish club, Trabzonspor in the summer.

The striker was, however, persuaded by manager Thorsten Fink to remain at the club.

A number of top European clubs are circling around the Nigerian again ahead of the winter transfer window.

De Conde has, however, revealed they won’t entertain any offer for Arokodare.

“Tolu is not allowed to leave. He is also very grateful to our trainer and will not leave Fink and Genk just like that,” De Condé told voetbalniews.

The 24-year-old has scored nine goals in 15 league appearances for the Belgian Pro League side this season.
