Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Funke Akindele, has projected that her new movie ‘Everybody Loves Jenifa’ will make N5 billion when it arrives in the cinema this December.
Speaking in a viral video with some cast of the movie, Akindele expressed optimism that the movie will make N5 billion this year.
“We are making N5 billion this year,” she said.
If the movie achieves the projected figure, it will break the record set by another Funke Akindele’s film, ‘A Tribe Called Judah’, which became the first Nigerian movie to hit one billion naira.
‘Everybody Loves Jenifa’ premiered on Sunday night in Lagos with various celebrities in attendance, including Funke Akindele’s estranged friend, Eniola Badmus.
