Embattled Nigerian rapper Speed Darlington has narrowly escaped an alleged assassination attempt.
The incident occurred barely a week after his release from prolonged detention in Kuje prison.
In a viral video on social media, the singer narrated how his car was shot multiple times by unknown gunmen, causing severe damage.
A video shared on his Instagram page on Monday morning showed bullet holes in the rear of his car.
While expressing concern for his safety, Darlington, who accused an unnamed “long face” of trying to kill him, explained that the incident occurred in the early hours of Monday as he was leaving a club in the VI area of Lagos State.
“Long face sent killers my way, and I have not even posted anything. Bro, is this necessary? You tried to take my life. Really?,” he said.
