Billionaire singer Rihanna has broken her silence after a Los Angeles jury found her partner, A$AP Rocky, not guilty of assault with a semiautomatic firearm.
The hip-hop star faced two felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic weapon, stemming from a 2021 altercation with his former childhood friend, Terell Ephron, aka A$AP Relli.
Rihanna erupted in tears as the not-guilty verdicts were read out on Tuesday.
Rocky dived into the gallery to hug family members, including Rihanna, and embraced his lawyer, Joe Tacopina, after the verdict was read.
Taking to her Instagram page to celebrate, Rihanna wrote, βThe glory belongs to God and God alone! Thankful, humbled by His mercy.β
The rapper was facing a possible maximum sentence of 24 years.
