El-Rufai meets PDP executive committee

The immediate past governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, met with the state executive committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Saturday.

The former governor was accompanied by his former Chief of Staff, Bashir Saidu.

The relationship between El-Rufai and the All Progressives Congress, APC, has soured in recent times.

While forming his cabinet, President Bola Tinubu nominated El-Rufai for a ministerial appointment.

The ex-Kaduna governor was, however, rejected by the National Assembly on grounds reportedly linked to security concerns.

Nevertheless, he has dismissed claims that he failed to support President Bola Tinubu during the 2023 presidential election, stating that he has moved on from such allegations.
