Popular Nigerian food critic Opeyemi Famakin has berated actress Wumi Toriola for calling out Chef T of Diary of a Kitchen Lover.
Media Talk Africa reports that Wumi, in an Instagram post, called out the celebrity chef for ignoring her collaboration request and accused her of being proud.
Reacting to the actress in a video post on Instagram, Famakin backed Chef T and condemned Toriola’s decision to publicly drag her.
While criticizing Toriola for her sense of entitlement, Famakin pointed out that the actress claimed to be Chef T’s fan but was quick to call her out simply for ignoring her request.
“We don’t do Chef T slander here. She’s a sweetheart and is positively contributing to the Nigerian and African food space. I’m not going to stand by and watch an actress who didn’t get a collaboration drag her name. We don’t do that here.
“It’s better to collaborate with people you genuinely like because most of the people reaching out to you for collaborations don’t really like you. This actress shared a screenshot where she introduced herself as a fan, but because Chef T didn’t respond, she suddenly started dragging her.”
This development comes after the viral news of Funke Akindele unfollowing Chef T and other social media influencers for not promoting her movie.
