Wike Reveals Politicians He is Fighting in Rivers State

In a surprising turn of events, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has publicly identified the politicians he is currently at odds with in Rivers state. According to Wike, his feud is not with Siminalayi Fubara, the suspended Governor of Rivers State, who is often referred to as his estranged political son. Instead, Wike has named Celestine Omehia, Abiye Sekibo, and Austin Okpara as the individuals he is fighting against.

During an interview with BBC Pidgin that was released on Saturday afternoon, Wike expressed his intentions clearly. “I am fighting those who want to reap where they did not sow,” he stated. “People like Celestine Omehia, Abiye Sekibo, and Austin Okpara,” he added, making it clear that these individuals are the focus of his current political battles. Wike also confidently asserted, “I have defeated them before and I will give them the final defeat.”

Wike’s statements come at a time when there are reports that Fubara, who was suspended by President Bola Tinubu following a declaration of a State of Emergency, has apologized to him. Despite this, Wike believes that Omehia, Sekibo, and Okpara are the ones urging Fubara to confront him directly. This revelation sheds light on the complex political dynamics at play in Rivers state and the Federal Capital Territory, highlighting the tensions and alliances that are shaping the region’s political landscape.

The public identification of his adversaries by Wike signals a significant development in the political saga unfolding in Rivers state. As the situation continues to evolve, it remains to be seen how these revelations will impact the relationships between the key players involved and the broader political landscape of the region. One thing is clear, however: Wike is determined to assert his influence and emerge victorious in his battles against those he perceives as opponents. With the apology from Fubara and the ongoing tensions with Omehia, Sekibo, and Okpara, the political scene in Rivers state is poised for further dramatic turns.
