2027: Things I’ll do differently within 100 days as President – Peter Obi reveals

Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has disclosed things he would do within his first 100 days, if he emerges as President in 2027.

Obi vowed to prioritize education, health, security, poverty alleviation among other things within his first 100 days in office.

He vowed to do things differently if elected president of Nigeria.

The former Anambra State governor spoke during an engagement with his followers on an X Space on Sunday night.

He said: “We will do things differently in 2027. We will follow a non-violent approach and insist that the right thing will be done before the result announcement in Abuja. Our votes in 2027 will count, and we will ensure they count.

“Three things to follow up with in the first 100 days. Prioritize security, education and poverty eradication, cut costs and shun corruption.

“My family will not be involved in corruption. Funds to be channelled into key critical sectors.

“My Presidency will ensure there is a strong opposition in party politics. There will be no defection of elected officials to other parties when I am in charge.

“Imagine in this country, people are dying in Benue, Borno, and other parts of the country, and our leaders are commissioning Bus Stops and holidaying.”

He vowed to run a stable government, stressing that leaders should be ready to put their lives on the line for their followers.

Meanwhile, the former Anambra State governor had given conditions to run for the presidency on the platform of the opposition coalition.

Obi said he would agree to run if the coalition offers him one term presidency.

He, however, declared that there is no agreement between him and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar for a joint ticket.
