Skepta challenges Americans to rap battle

Famous British rapper Skepta has challenged his American counterparts to a rap battle.

Media Talk Africa reports that there is an ongoing debate over the superiority of US and UK rap, otherwise known as Grime.

Skepta said he believes a rap battle between British and American rappers would finally settle the longstanding debate.

“I wanna clash an American rapper anyway, finally get this UK/US rap debate sorted,” the Grime star wrote via his X handle on Thursday.

He also offered to set up some UK rappers against US rappers. He paired Ghetts with Eminem, Chip with Kendrick Lamar, Dave with Lil Wayne, Youngs with Meek Mill, and Blade Brown with Pusha T.

Skepta further paired Queenie with Meg The Stallion, Central Cee with Jack Harlow, Lancey with Travis Scott, and JME with Tyler, The Creator.

He explained that UK rappers are well groomed and not easily defeated.

“The microphone training you get from being in the grime scene is top level, Oxford Uni level training, we’re not easy, lol,” he stated.
