Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris has given his assent to the revised 2025 Appropriation Bill, valued at N43 billion, after it was passed by the State House of Assembly. The bill was presented to the governor by the Speaker of the Assembly, Rt. Hon. Muhammad Usman Zuru, at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi, accompanied by other lawmakers. The revised budget reflects a collaborative effort between the executive and legislative branches of the state government, aimed at driving development and improving the lives of Kebbi residents.

In addition to the budget, the lawmakers submitted the Medium‑Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper for 2026‑2028, outlining the state’s financial plans for the next three years. Governor Idris affirmed his commitment to ensuring that the revised budget is used to support projects that enhance infrastructure and service delivery, thereby benefiting the people of Kebbi. The N43 billion budget is expected to have a positive impact on the state’s development, focusing on delivering the dividends of democracy to its citizens.

Lawmakers also forwarded a resolution to rename Government Day Secondary School, Tondi Tsamiya, as Sarki Muhammad Zayyanu Abdullahi Day School, in honor of the Emir of Yauri. This gesture is intended to recognize the emir’s contributions to the state.

The signing of the revised budget into law marks a significant step toward achieving Kebbi’s development goals.
