The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State has suspended its State Secretary, Sa’idu Adamu, over allegations of gross misconduct and anti‑party activities. State Publicity Secretary Maria Dogo announced the decision in a press statement released in Kaduna on Tuesday. The suspension is made under Articles 58(1)(h) and 57(3) of the PDP Constitution, as amended in 2017, and was approved by the State Working Committee (SWC) during a meeting at the party’s secretariat on 6 October 2025.
Effective immediately, the one‑month suspension bars Sa’idu Adamu from participating in any party activities at all levels while investigations are conducted and further decisions are made. The PDP in Kaduna State, led by State Chairman Edward Percy Masha, reaffirmed its commitment to internal discipline, fairness and justice. According to Dogo, the SWC’s ongoing efforts aim to strengthen party structures and ensure accountability across all ranks.
The party’s emphasis on discipline and accountability is seen as essential for maintaining a strong, cohesive political organization and for shaping public perception. In the broader context of Nigerian politics, internal party discipline significantly influences a party’s effectiveness and popularity. The suspension of a high‑ranking official like Sa’idu Adamu underscores the seriousness with which the PDP treats allegations of misconduct and anti‑party activities.
As the situation develops, the party’s actions will be closely monitored by members, political observers and the general public. The outcome of the investigations and any subsequent decisions will be pivotal in determining Sa’idu Adamu’s future and the direction of the PDP in Kaduna State.
