Big Brother Naija Kola rejects marriage to Imisi despite closeness

Big Brother Naija Season 10 finalist Kola Omotosho has clarified his relationship with fellow contestant and season winner Opeyemi Ayanwale, also known as Imisi. Despite their close bond on the reality show, Kola has stated that he cannot consider a romantic relationship with Imisi, referring to her as a “sister.”

Kola and Imisi’s friendship was a notable aspect of the show, with viewers speculating about a potential romantic connection between the two. However, they maintained a platonic relationship throughout their time on the program, often referring to each other as siblings. Following the show’s conclusion, some fans continued to wonder if a romance might develop, particularly after the pair made appearances together at public events.

During a recent livestream, Kola addressed the speculation directly, emphasizing that Imisi is like a sister to him and therefore, he cannot consider marrying her. He appealed to fans to focus on his individual journey, rather than pressuring him about his relationship with Imisi.

It is worth noting that Kola had been romantically interested in another contestant, Dede, during the show. However, Dede was already in a committed relationship outside of the program, and even if she had been single, she has since stated that she would not have pursued a relationship with Kola due to compatibility issues.

Kola’s clarification on his relationship with Imisi provides insight into the dynamics between contestants on the show and highlights the distinction between on-screen friendships and real-life romantic relationships. As the Big Brother Naija franchise continues to gain international recognition, the personal lives and relationships of its contestants remain a subject of interest for fans and viewers alike.
