A delegation of governors, led by Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi, visited the Kebbi State Government to offer condolences. The visit was made at the behest of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who directed the governors to commiserate with the state government and people over the kidnapping incident.

Governor Namadi expressed that the situation serves as a wake-up call for Nigerians to contribute to enhancing security nationwide. He described the events as disheartening, noting that incidents once considered distant are now occurring closer to home. The governor emphasized the need for collective action to address the security challenges facing the country.

The Federal Government has assured that it is committed to ensuring the safe rescue and reunion of the abducted girls with their families. Governor Namadi stated that security agencies have been directed to take necessary measures to secure the release of the victims. The incident highlights the need for sustained efforts to strengthen security and protect vulnerable populations, such as students. The government’s response to the incident will be closely monitored, and the successful rescue of the abducted girls is eagerly anticipated.
