2Face Idibia Wife Accused of Financial Misappropriation Assault

The family of Nigerian singer 2Face Idibia has filed a petition with the Inspector General of Police, alleging that his wife, Natasha Osawuru, has engaged in financial misappropriation, assault, and other misconduct. The petition, which surfaced online, claims that Osawuru has caused the singer significant financial loss, emotional distress, and reputational damage.

According to the petition, dated November 12, the Idibia family received reports from the singer and other witnesses alleging physical assault in Abuja and the UK. It is also alleged that Osawuru transferred money from 2Face’s bank accounts without his authorization and withheld his international passport and other personal documents, preventing him from honoring business engagements.

The family has expressed concerns over the singer’s safety and emotional well-being, urging the police to investigate alleged violations of marriage laws and possible fraudulent misrepresentation. The petition notes that 2Face had not completed divorce proceedings with his estranged wife, Annie Macauley Idibia, before Osawuru presented herself as his new wife.

The allegations against Osawuru include substance abuse, resulting in violent behavior, and causing 2Face emotional distress and financial loss. The petition also raises concerns about possible bigamy and fraudulent misrepresentation, which the family requests be properly investigated.

The controversy surrounding 2Face and Osawuru escalated recently when the singer’s ex-managers, Kaka Igbokwe and Lori Tosan, accused Osawaru of seeking control over 2Face’s finances and career during an Instagram livestream. The situation took a turn when 2Face joined the live session, leading to a physical altercation with Osawaru.

In response to the incident, the Edo State House of Assembly has summoned Osawaru, a member of the assembly, to appear before its committee over her conduct. The singer’s family has also reached out to him, with his younger brother, Hyacinth Idibia, urging him to allow them to intervene in the situation. The police are expected to investigate the allegations and take necessary action to address the concerns raised by the Idibia family.
