APC Chieftain Slams Obedient Movement Ahead 2027 Election

A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress, Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has criticized recent actions by the Obedient Movement, a group supporting Peter Obi, a key figure in the African Democratic Congress. Eze’s comments come ahead of the 2027 presidential election, where the African Democratic Congress is expected to play a significant role.

According to Eze, the African Democratic Congress must present a united front to challenge the current All Progressives Congress government, led by President Bola Tinubu. He emphasized that the party’s primary objective is to rescue Nigerians from poor governance, corruption, and economic hardship. Eze urged major political blocs within the African Democratic Congress to work together, stating that a divided house cannot achieve its goals.

Eze’s remarks were prompted by a statement attributed to Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, a key figure in the African Democratic Congress, which was circulated on social media. However, Eze claimed that the statement was false and part of a strategy to blackmail and intimidate other party leaders. He cautioned Peter Obi to restrain his supporters from engaging in such tactics, which could harm the party’s chances in the upcoming election.

The African Democratic Congress is seen as a key challenger to the All Progressives Congress in the 2027 presidential election. Eze noted that the party’s presidential ticket is open, and it is essential for the party to remain united to achieve its goals. He warned that if the party’s key actors fail to work together, they may miss an opportunity to rescue Nigeria from the current administration.

Eze also expressed concern over statements made by some of Peter Obi’s supporters, suggesting that the party would cease to exist if Obi fails to secure the presidential ticket. He described such statements as unfortunate and unacceptable, emphasizing that the party’s success depends on the unity of its members. With the 2027 election approaching, the African Democratic Congress faces a critical test of its ability to present a united front and challenge the incumbent government.
