Popular American streamer Kai Cenat has expressed a profound personal connection to Nigeria, describing it as the first country where he experienced “100 per cent love.” Cenat made the remarks during a courtesy visit with Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the Lagos House in Marina.
This visit marks Cenat’s return to Nigeria following his initial trip in 2024. He stated he returned to follow up on projects initiated during his previous journey. “I am glad to be here. I love coming here. When I landed, the Love was crazy. Nigeria is the first country I felt like 100 per cent love,” Cenat said.
During the meeting, Governor Sanwo-Olu outlined several state government initiatives focused on youth empowerment and tourism development. He highlighted the Eyo Cultural Festival, organised in December, which drew 10,000 participants and thousands of spectators, showcasing Lagos’s cultural assets.
The interaction underscores Nigeria’s growing engagement with global digital creators and its efforts to promote cultural and tourism exchanges. Cenat’s return for project follow-up signals potential ongoing collaborations between the international creator and Nigerian stakeholders, aligning with state ambitions to boost the creative economy and attract international attention.
