Nollywood Actor Stanley Ontop Arrested Following Petition at Nigerian University
Nigerian actor and social media influencer Stanley Ontop was arrested on the campus of Dennis Osadebe University in Asaba, Delta State, on Friday afternoon. The arrest was executed by police officers on school premises, following a petition submitted by an undisclosed individual.
According to a post shared by Ontop on his social media story, the arrest occurred without a prior police invitation. He criticized the involvement of school authorities in the operation, stating, “Some policemen came to my school this afternoon to arrest me over a petition from an unknown person. Coming to school to arrest me, the school authorities and the government must be aware of this lawlessness. How can you invade a university to perfect my arrest, what happened to an invitation?”

This incident occurs approximately one week after fellow Nollywood actor Frederick Leonard submitted a formal petition against Ontop.
