Don Jazzy Ideal Woman Traits: Freak, Soft, No Abuse

Nigerian music executive and record producer Michael Collins Ajereh, widely known as Don Jazzy, has publicly detailed the attributes he seeks in a romantic partner. The 43-year-old founder of Mavin Records shared his perspective during a recent appearance on the Is This Seat Taken podcast, hosted by actress Chinasa Anukam.

Don Jazzy outlined a specific hierarchy of qualities, stating that an ideal partner must first “be a freak.” He emphasized that this characteristic is non-negotiable and paramount for him in a dating context. Following this, he stressed the importance of a soft disposition, both physically and in personality. “Because if you shout at me, you are dating yourself,” he explained, adding that he has a low tolerance for stress and conflict.

He firm ly rejected any form of abuse or violence in a relationship. “The moment you try to be nonchalant or violent, you will not see me again. You will just realise that you are dating yourself,” Don Jazzy said, indicating an immediate exit strategy for such behavior.

These personal revelations provide context for Don Jazzy’s public marital status. As previously reported, including in a 2023 interview, he remains unmarried. He attributed this to his demanding focus on building his music career, a self-acknowledged struggle with maintaining fidelity in a long-term relationship, and a deliberate choice to avoid repeating the pattern of a past failed marriage.

The discussion offers a rare glimpse into the personal criteria of one of Africa’s most influential music producers, moving beyond his professional achievements to his private standards for companionship. His comments underscore a prioritization of peace and specific personal chemistry over conventional societal timelines for marriage.
