Nollywood actor Portable has responded to allegations from his ex-wife, Fatimo Momoh, who accused him of abandoning her and their 10-year-old son, Mahbub, for the past eight years. In a video posted on his Instagram page on Monday, Portable invited Fatimo to bring Mahbub to him in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State.
Fatimo had earlier publicly criticized the actor for his absence from their son’s life, prompting Portable’s rebuttal. In the video, he recalled attending Mahbub’s naming ceremony at birth and offered to take full responsibility for the child’s education and welfare if Fatimo was certain of his paternity.
Portable challenged Fatimo to bring Mahbub to Ogun State the following day, stating he was not afraid of a DNA test to confirm paternity. “If you’re very sure that I’m his biological father, if you’re double sure that if I decide to do a DNA test, the result won’t prove otherwise, bring him down to Ogun state tomorrow,” he said. “I’m not scared of taking responsibility for the child. Bring my son to me in Abeokuta if truly I’m the father.”
The actor’s remarks have reignited public interest in the personal lives of Nigerian celebrities and the complexities of family relationships in the entertainment industry. As the situation unfolds, observers are watching to see whether Fatimo will accept Portable’s invitation and what steps may follow regarding the child’s future and potential paternity verification.
