Viral video: Portable gets 75-hour to report self to police

The Ogun State Police Command on Wednesday issued a 72-hour ultimatum for controversial singer, Habeeb Okikiola, known by his stage name, Portable, to report himself to the nearest police station before Friday or prepare for arrest.

This was made known in a statement issued by the command’s spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi.

The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO stated that the singer had been informed to submit himself to the police, stating that Portable’s father had been begging the police, promising to bring his son to the station.

Series of video clips went viral on Tuesday showing the artiste insulting some officers of the Force in Ogun State, over alleged invasion.

Portable claimed in the viral video that an internet fraudster had brought the police to his bar to arrest him and his staff members “for no reason”.

Reacting to the viral video clips that caused reactions on social media on Tuesday, the PPRO said, “the police did not want a breakdown of law and order so his arrest was to be effected on Tuesday and now he started with all series of videos, saying all sorts of things.

“His father has been begging but we have told him that if he (Portable) refuses to turn himself in between now and Friday, he will be arrested.”
