Katsina police foil kidnap attempt, neutralise two suspected terrorists

The Nigeria Police, Katsina Command, says it has neutralised two terrorists after it foiled a kidnap attempt on a businessman.

In a statement by PPRO Katsina Police Command, CSP Gambo Isah, he said the success was recorded after it received a credible information about the suspect, and the command in joint operations with other security agencies went into action, leading to the killing of two suspected terrorists.

He said the suspects were on their way to commit their heinous mission of kidnapping a renowned businessman in the state when they met superior power.

He said two AK&47 rifles were recovered from the suspects.

β€œIn the course of scanning the scene, the corpse of one Samaila Shehu, β€˜M’, of Tsaunin Kura village, Malumfashi LGA, a notorious suspected terrorist, was found,” the statement added.
