Kano woman battling Tuberculosis seeks help

A 36-year-old woman, Sa’adatu Yakubu, is seeking financial assistance from the public to treat Tuberculosis at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, in Kano.

DAILY NIGERIAN gathered that Ms Yakubu, a mother of two, is a divorcee and has since lost her parents.

Ms Yakubu’s niece, Hauwa Haruna, who contacted DAILY NIGERIAN on Monday, said the divorcee has been battling with the illness for over five months.

“As we speak, she can’t walk for the past two months. We have to carry her around, from the bedroom to toilet,” Ms Haruna stated.

While appealing for help, the niece called on individuals to come to their rescue as they have no money to pay her bills in the hospital.

“We have no money to pay her bills at the hospital, and she has been at home for quite a while now.

“We, therefore, seek financial help from members of the public to save my aunt’s life. The account details are: 0033772854, Hauwa Sambo, Access Bank,” Ms Haruna added.
