Dr. Baba Aliyu Haruna appointed as Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Bida

President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Dr. Baba Aliyu Haruna as the new Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Bida in Niger State. This announcement was made in a letter signed by the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu and released to the press on Wednesday.

Dr. Baba Aliyu Haruna, who previously served as the Director of Quality Assurance at the Polytechnic, will serve as the Rector for a period of five years beginning from May 21. In the letter, President Buhari clarified that the terms and conditions of Haruna’s service, including his remuneration and fringe benefits, will align with those of other Federal Polytechnic Rectors.

The President congratulated Dr. Haruna on his appointment and expressed hope that he would have a fruitful tenure. Meanwhile, Dr. Haruna thanked President Buhari for entrusting him with the responsibility, promising to take the Polytechnic to greater heights.

With his appointment, Dr. Baba Aliyu Haruna is expected to bring his experience and expertise to bear, building on the solid foundation laid by his predecessor and taking the institution forward.
