False Claims against Ganduje: Kano State Government Cautions Public on Misleading Publicity

The Kano State Government has issued a statement debunking a supposed phone conversation between Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and Ibrahim Kabiru Masari regarding his political affiliation with President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and labeled it as the work of social media and online publications’ mischievous propaganda.

In the statement released by the Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Malam Muhammad Garba, he stated that the Governor and President-elect, Tinubu, have a cordial relationship and that this purported audio clip was nothing more than an attempt by political enemies trying to cause disunity between them.

He also mentioned that certain individuals who were unhappy with the strong and healthy relationship shared between Ganduje, Tinubu, and Masari wanted to give the audio clip unnecessary attention in order to bring a rift between them.

The commissioner called on the general public and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to disregard such unhelpful attempts and remain loyal to the party in preparation for the successful inauguration of the President-elect.
