Kano State Government refutes rumors of strained political relationship between Tinubu, Ganduje and Masari

The Kano State Government has debunked rumors of a strained political relationship between the President-elect, Bola Tinubu and Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, alleging that certain elements were attempting to exploit a phone conversation between Ganduje and Ibrahim Kabiru Masari for political gain.

The Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Mallam Muhammad Garba, described the exaggerated publicity surrounding the phone conversation as “mischievous”, saying that paid agents were attempting to use it to sow seeds of discord between the two political figures.

Garba implored APC members and the general public to disregard the rumors and remain loyal to the party.

He further emphasised that the President-elect and Governor Ganduje, as well as Masari, were fully aware of the supposed attempt to cause disaffection and remained steadfast in their commitment to maintaining a cordial relationship despite this.

This clarification puts to rest recent rumors and provides clarity regarding the political landscape in the state.
