Buhari’s Aide Warns: Stay Away from Tinubu’s Inauguration if You Have No Business There

As the countdown to the inauguration of the President-elect, Bola Tinubu begins, President Muhammadu Buhari’s Special Assistant on Digital Communication, Bashir Ahmad, has issued a stern warning for anyone without a direct concern at the Eagle Square, the event venue.

In a tweet posted on Monday, Ahmad stated: “If you donโ€™t have any business at or around Eagle Square on Monday, May 29th, STAY AWAY, a strong warning from the security.” He further explained that the warning came from the security personnel.

The warning comes ahead of the expected installation of Bola Tinubu as the next President of Nigeria on May 29, just a week away from today. Tinubu won the 2023 presidential election on March 1, 2023, ahead of Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Peter Obi of the Labour Party, LP.

Notwithstanding, Atiku and Obi both challenged the results and headed to the election tribunal in hopes of reclaiming their mandates.
