Tinubu Conferred with GCFR Highest Honour Ahead of Inauguration as President-elect

The President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has been conferred with the highest honour in Nigeria. He was awarded the Grand Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic, GCFR, at an investiture ceremony held in Aso Villa Abuja on Thursday.

Also, Vice President-elect Kashim Settima was decorated as Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger, GCON, during the ceremony.

These honors come ahead of Tinubu’s swearing-in ceremony, which is set to take place on Monday, May 29th. He is set to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari as the next President of Nigeria.
