Buhari to Tinubu: Uphold my Legacy Ahead of May 29

President Muhammadu Buhari has requested that President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu uphold his legacy ahead of May 29th.

In a statement released yesterday by Femi Adesina, Buhari’s spokesman, the President noted that he has finished his term as Nigeria’s president and implored Tinubu to make the experience even better for his successor.

President Buhari handed three key documents to Tinubu, which will guide him in defining a path for his administration. These documents, according to Buhari, would be the first time in the country’s history that such detailed documentation will be produced for handover to a new administration.

He went on to urge Tinubu to uphold the legacy and make the experience even better for his successor when it is his time to leave office.

Buhari also acknowledged and thanked the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and his team for preparing the handover notes for all the ministries and their agencies in readiness to brief their new political leadership.
