Buhari Honors Transport Minister with National Award

President Muhammadu Buhari, in his final hours as President, conferred a Special Award on the Minister of Transportation, Mu’azu Sambo. The Minister was awarded the “Commander of the Order of the Niger” in recognition of his significant contributions to Nigeria’s transportation sector. The award was given in a statement signed by the Minister on Sunday.

Sambo expressed his gratitude for the honourable recognition and stated that the award is an acknowledgement of the hard work and dedication of his team towards the progress and development of Nigeria, particularly in the transportation sector. He thanked President Buhari and his colleagues in the cabinet for their support and guidance throughout his tenure.

The statement also highlighted the contributions of the civil servants in the Federal Ministry of Transportation and its Agencies towards achieving the Ministry’s mandate. Sambo attributed the success of the Ministry to their professionalism and active participation.
