“I’m not actively seeking an appointment from Tinubu” – Ganduje clarifies

The former Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has clarified that he is not actively seeking any appointment from President of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.

Ganduje stated this during an interview with BBC Hausa, published on Tuesday, February 2nd.

Despite this, the former Governor admitted that he is open to accepting any appointment that may be offered to him.

“I am not looking for any appointment. But, if I am offered any, I would take it,” Ganduje said.

He also expressed his well-wishes for Tinubu’s political aspirations, whilst pledging to continue to pray for him. Ganduje attributed Tinubu’s success in the recent Lagos local government election to his reputation as a true democrat and his record of achievements in the state during his time as Governor.

Ganduje also disclosed that he did not attend the inauguration ceremony of Abba Yusuf on Monday, January 1st, because he did not want their supporters to clash during the event.
