Kwankwaso and Galadima Call for Reunification of Ogun NNPP Members

The New Nigeria Peoples Party’s (NNPP) presidential candidate for the 2023 elections, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and member of the Board of Trustees, Buba Galadima, have urged the caretaker committee of the party in Ogun State to bring back members who left the party in order to build a formidable party ahead of the next elections. This comes after several members left the party due to the expulsion of the former chairman of the party in the state, Sunday Olaposi Oginni.

The NNPP’s caretaker committee, led by Prince Ibrahim Adekunle, was inaugurated to oversee the affairs of the party in the state. Kwankwaso and Galadima advised the committee to act fast in bringing back former members and attracting new ones in order to expand the party across the wards and local governments in the state.

The caretaker committee and the party’s gubernatorial candidate in Ogun State, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, paid a courtesy visit to Kwankwaso and Galadima after the inauguration of Kano State governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf. Yusuf won the election under the NNPP banner in Kano State.

Kwankwaso emphasized the need for the caretaker committee to take action and not look back in their efforts to reunite the party and bring in new members into the fold. “I implore you to go into action by not looking back in your quest to bring back those that have left the party as well as ensuring to bring in new members into the party in Ogun State,” Kwankwaso stated.

Galadima encouraged the caretaker committee to remain strong in the face of political challenges and continue to build the party in the state.

This call for reunification comes at a critical time for the NNPP in Ogun State as they prepare for the next elections. It remains to be seen how the caretaker committee will respond to this call and rebuild the party for a successful future.
