Arla Foods, maker of Dano Milk has advised Nigerians to ensure a measured consumption of milk on a consistent basis as recommended by health experts.

The clarion call was made by the Dano Category Manager — Powder, Dominic Orimogunje, on the occasion of this year’s World Milk Day.

According to him, the estimated daily need for milk in the Food Based Dietary Guidelines throughout the world is a daily supply of 350-500ml.

Orimogunje further stated that Dano Milk, in furtherance of the company’s goal, has continued to improve its processes and operations in the quest to supply quality milk to the Nigerian market.

He said, “We track the number of low-income consumers we are reaching with our affordable and healthy products. Today we have reached over 41 million Nigerians with our healthy dairy products containing protein and calcium from milk and fortified with vitamin A and D.

“Milk contains a high concentration of beneficial nutrients; Protein (needed for the normal growth and development of bones), Calcium (essential for the optimal bone growth and maintenance of bone health, Vitamin B12 (is a factor in a well-functioning immune system), and other essential nutrients.”

He said that the company’s motivation is tied to its vision, which is to create the future of dairy and bring health and inspiration to the world.

He added that Dano Milk is enriched with vitamin A and vitamin D to ensure the supply of important nutrients.

“It is a trusted, high quality and nutritious product with a long heritage in the Nigerian market,” he said.

He said the company would continue to prioritise quality in order to meet the growing demands of its teeming consumers.
