Sevilla Defeat: Mourinho Confirms Next Move and Holiday Plans

The former Chelsea and Real Madrid manager, José Mourinho, has disclosed that he will inform Roma’s club owners first in case he opens talks with another club. This was revealed after Roma’s defeat against Sevilla in the Europa Cup final on Wednesday night.

Sevilla emerged winners of the match, securing their seventh Europa League title in a dramatic penalty shootout at Puskas Arena in Budapest. Sadly, the defeat meant that Mourinho’s team came out second best.

During a press briefing after the game, the Portugal-born manager disclosed his plans, including going on a vacation on Monday.

“We will speak about my future. I clearly stated that I will go on holiday on Monday, and once I’m back, we’ll have a chat. If I consider moving on, I will inform the owners first,” Mourinho said.

He also mentioned that no other club has contacted him since Portugal called him to join the national team in December.

It’s worth noting that the tactician’s remarks follow a spate of previous speculations regarding his future. The match on Wednesday night adds to a string of undesirable outcomes for the Italian Serie A side under Mourinho’s leadership.

However, his assurance to the clubowners that he will inform them in the event of receiving a job offer from another club may provide an air of tranquility for the time being.
