“Let Nigerians Know What You Inherited”: Shehu Sani Urges Tinubu on Fuel Subsidy Removal

In light of recent events regarding the removal of fuel subsidy and resulting hike in the pump price of petroleum products across Nigeria, former lawmaker, Shehu Sani, has called on President Bola Tinubu to reveal the truth about what he inherited from Muhammadu Buhari’s administration. Sani believes it unfair of the government to ask poor Nigerians to make sacrifices without full knowledge of what happened under the previous administration.

This statement comes amidst threats of a nationwide strike declared by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) next week if the government doesn’t revert to the previous price of petrol.

In light of this, Sani called on President Tinubu to put aside party alliance and reveal details contained in the handover book so that the people of Nigeria can be fully informed about the situation before making any further sacrifices.
