Actress Genoveva Umeh Reveals How She Found Her Passion for Acting

In a recent interview on Chinasa Anukam’s podcast, “Is This Seat Taken?”, Nigerian-British actress, Genoveva Umeh, declared that acting was always her passion, even though she didn’t study it initially.

The actress revealed that she had studied law in university, and it was only after she failed her first year that she discovered her true love for acting.

Umeh explained that although she had made the decision to study law, she was aware of the sacrifices her parents had made as first-generation immigrants to give her a better life in the United Kingdom, and didn’t want to take her studies for granted.

However, after failing her first year of law, the actress remarked, “I need to start considering what I actually want to do as opposed to what I feel I have to do.”

Umeh had previously seen acting as a hobby before she realized that it was her true calling.

The actress’s revelations highlight the importance of pursuing one’s dreams and passions, even when they may not be the most conventional or expected.
