Barnabas Imenger, the forward for Lobi Stars, has called on his teammates to aim for victory in their upcoming Nigeria Premier League Super Six playoffs tie against Rivers United on Wednesday.
After losing their last match against Enyimba, the Makurdi-based outfit is currently at the bottom of the playoff table.
Despite the recent poor results, Imenger has encouraged his teammates not to lose hope and to strive for a positive outcome.
He said, “We just need to be focused and continue to work hard for a positive result. Rivers United is another strong opponent. We know them but we need to concentrate more on ourselves in today’s game. We also need to raise our game to achieve our target of a continental ticket.”
Lobi Stars have played two matches in the NPL playoffs and have only gained one point.
