Enugu State Governor assures citizens of strengthened faith in democracy

Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, has promised to reinforce people’s confidence in democracy by fulfilling his electoral promises of delivering impactful and transformative projects. In a statement commemorating Democracy Day, the governor vowed that his administration would strive tirelessly to achieve robust economic growth, tackle insecurity, create more jobs, reduce poverty, and eradicate infrastructural deficits.

Mbah acknowledged the challenges that have plagued Nigeria’s democratic governance since its advent in 1999 but expressed satisfaction with the state’s appreciable progress despite the setbacks. He saluted the people of Enugu for their unwavering support and assured them that his government would not disappoint them.

The Enugu Governor reaffirmed his manifesto’s commitment to delivering potable water to the entire state within the stipulated timeframe, adding that his administration was determined to transform the state and bring development to the people’s doorstep.

He emphasized the importance of people’s welfare and urged them to continue partnering with his government, assuring them of his administration’s unwavering commitment to work for their betterment. Mbah concluded by pledging to lead differently and delivering dividends of democracy that the people have always yearned for.
